It was a little before the harvest, I was 15 that summer. Painfully, perched on our bicycles, we pedaled through the paths. Following her I admired her long hair with her blonde curls dancing in the hollow of her back. Exhausted, we abandoned our bicycles and took her by the hand, gliding through the cornfields. Lying on the warm grainy earth with my head resting on my shoulder, I contemplated her closed lids, and suddenly a clandestine sigh came out of her fleshy mouth.
