Cedar (cedar): male name deriving from the Latin cedrus, large tree with horizontal branches native to Africa, Asia and the Americas, which spreads the scent of dry wood, mugwort and turpentine.


Cedar is undoubtedly one of the most easily recognizable scents. Reminiscent of pencil shavings, it evokes a sense of nostalgia for school and the carefree years. Referring to wooden crates and Scandinavian furniture, cedar gives warmth to what is admittedly modern. In the perfume palette, it has the power to infuse energy and give verticality to a fragrance.
