The fragrance opens with an alcohol content that is stronger right away and gradually settles as it reaches the bottom, never disappearing completely, and leaving pleasant traces until the final stages of evolution.

A rather classic resinous floral heart is the second significant component. It brings a substantial and comforting naturalness to the opening and also adds a soft resinous layer to the base, rounding the edges of the woods just a little and really adding to the overall feeling of comfort of the creations.

Finally, the smoky and woody base of the fragrances, full-bodied with substantial presence, the woods are reminiscent of heavy high quality furniture or the interior of a brandy distillery wooden barrel once emptied of its contents and allowed to dry. Smoke plays an important role in Overture: it accentuates the wood, giving it character and dimension but without ever overpowering it.


It evokes the story of a gentleman, dressed for an elegant evening in a tuxedo decorated with a moiré silk sash and a paillon. He takes his place in the stalls of the opera house with great composure and anxiously waits for the show to begin, but before the orchestra finishes the Overture, a mysterious stranger touches him gently on the shoulder. She gets up from his seat and disappears into the darkness with nothing left of him but his bow tie and the charm of his perfume. In the Opera, the Overture is an orchestral piece that is performed with the curtain closed before the start of an opera. The eye has to wait for the curtain to rise, while the ear has already perceived the nature of the drama.

Heart notes: geranium, benzoin, myrrh, cinnamon, mastic, cistus, labdanum, patchouli
