Often associated with fire, saffron is considered the most auspicious color in India. The monks and sages of Hinduism wear saffron-colored robes as a symbol of abstinence from all material things, thoughts and pleasures. It has always been part of the Indian education of the founder of BYREDO in both smell, taste and color. The fragrance is inspired by this idea of unity and inclusion.

BLACK SAFFRON is built around Saffron, a reminder of the origins of Ben Gorham in smells, tastes and colors. The use of Kashmer Saffron, mixed with citrus and leather notes, is the idea of a sublime union.
